"Saturday's child works hard for a living" - Our mother, Judy, worked so hard throughout her life. She was adventurous and had a great zest for life. She raised my little brother and I to be kind, thoughtful and giving. While we may have faltered a few times in life, she was always there to help us up. She worked at Burlington Medical Center, which then transitioned into Great River Medical Center. She was an amazing phlebotomist and lab technician. My little brother and I are so proud that she was able to help with her donation to the Lion's Eye Bank. This picture of her was taken in Hawaii, as we were getting ready to liftoff in a helicopter tour of the big island. My daughter and I were absolutely terrified the whole time, but my mother was not. When the pilot told us that they also do tours where the helicopter doesn't have doors and they get a bit more adventurous with the maneuvering, my mother was ALL IN for that. We love and miss her so much.
