This includes working in a sterile lab environment, performing precise tissue preparation techniques, and ensuring tissue meets medical standards for transplant, research, and education.
Qualifications, Training, and Pay
Training:
We provide all necessary training.
- Pay Level: 4A
- Location: Coralville
- Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be detail oriented with paper documentation and proficient in entering data into a variety of computer software programs
- Must be able to perform repetitive tasks with a high degree of accuracy
- Availability to work a weekly schedule Sunday through Thursday
Become a Recovery Technician

The role of the Recovery Technician is to perform the recovery of human ocular tissue for the purpose of both transplantation and for research/education purposes.
Qualifications, Training, and Pay
- Training:
We provide all necessary training. - Compensation:
- On-Call Pay: $5/hour
- Training Pay: $16/hour during the training period
- Regular Pay: $20/hour for worked hours after successfully completing training
- Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Good manual dexterity
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds unassisted
