Sarah Rickey

Sally was truly special. And to her nieces and nephews, the greatest aunt ever. She was the owner of a very infectious smile and laugh, and was never afraid to use them. Sally had an open heart and a tremendous amount of caring and warmth. In the midst of her short battle with cancer, she was part of a group that made mastectomy pillows and port pillows for the comfort of other cancer patients and they donated them to the local hospital to give to these patients. She was a very active member of our Church and with a great voice was an active singer. Her voice may have been stilled but her memory and presence has not been diminished. I know for a fact that the recipient of her cornea has had tremendous success with the transplant, and for me, that is her greatest legacy. She cared very much about people, and at the end of her life, she was able to improve the quality of life for a complete stranger. Her family and I miss her very much.
